Our day in court…

Listen to the audio of the oral argument

Thursday, Sept. 8, was the oral argument of our TRI (Title, Right and Interest) case before the Maine State Supreme Court.

The judges had previously reviewed the filings presented by plaintiff (the Friends of the HLH Conservation Area) and defendant, (Nordic Aquafarms). Thursday's appearance was a question and answer "conversation" between the judges and the attorneys.

Our attorney, Kim Ervin-Tucker, represented FHLH with her usual detailed grasp of the facts and historical precedents at issue in the ownership of the flats under which Nordic must place their discharge pipes.

While we do not expect the Court's decision for quite some time, as is normal at this level, we remain hopeful that it will be in our favor.

We offer you the opportunity to listen to the oral argument from this session via the link below.
