Protecting the HLH Conservation Area from industrial development
The Friends of HLH currently has a pending legal appeal in Maine Supreme Judicial Court defending the ownership of the intertidal zone at the mouth of the Little River. Nordic Aquafarms is claiming to have sufficient Title, Right and Interest in order to cross this property with their intake and discharge pipes. Research into historical property deeds clearly shows that this area is owned by Judith Grace and Jeffrey Mabee. Mabee/Grace have not given Nordic Aquafarms permission to cross this zone and have put the property into a conservation area held by the Friends of Harriet L Hartley.
